We challenge the status quo to solve problems and find smarter solutionsBuild the best technology in-house: we use new data sources, machine learning and AI to make machines do the heavy liftingAbout the roleWe're looking for someone early in their career who wants to learn how fintech products are actually built.We are not necessarily looking for a traditional product manager, who is focused on managing roadmaps or writing tickets.Instead, we are looking for a builder. Someone who does not take things at face value, who asks why things work the way they do and who enjoys challenging assumptions before jumping to solutions.You will work closely with the Cards team to break down problems, test ideas and improve the product and business quickly. Many of the best improvements will come from questioning how things currently work and finding simpler or faster ways to do them.If you are curious about fintech, lending and technology and want to see how a real product is built and scaled, this role gives you that exposure.What you'll be doingThis role spans a wide range of work across the UK Cards product. Broadly, the work falls into two areas.1. Running fast experimentsMany valuable improvements do not require engineering builds. We want someone who enjoys questioning how things work today and running quick experiments to test better approaches.Examples include:Testing different messaging, offers or incentives to increase engagementTesting new acquisition featuresRunning manual experiments to validate ideas before committing engineering2.
