Infrastructure & Security Lead

About Luo Luo is one of the fastest-growing FX and cross-border payments companies in Africa. We help African businesses pay their international suppliers faster, more transparently, and more competitively than traditional solutions. After becoming a leading player in a few markets in record time, we are looking to grow our engineering team and keep expanding the financial infrastructure for FX and cross-border payments in Africa. Role overview As Infrastructure & Security Lead, you will join a small team of experienced engineers and be responsible for evolving our cloud infrastructure and its security controls. You will work directly with our CTO to build the foundations that keep LuoPay secure, reliable, and compliant as we scale. The scope covers our GCP infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, security tooling, as well as the security and compliance program that regulators, partners, and customers depend on. Key responsibilitiesAnalyze our infrastructure and map security risks.Write clear, concise design documents to share infrastructure targets with the rest of the engineering team.Use Terraform to evolve our GCP infrastructure.Use GCP-native security tooling to protect our network, services and databases within GCP.Automate security testing within our delivery pipelines.Research and onboard new tools to improve our reliability and security posture.Work alongside our CTO to implement our security and compliance framework. What we are looking for10+ years of tech engineering experienceStrong experience building cloud infrastructure, managing cloud security and writing Terraform code.Experience within GCP is highly appreciated, though we value fundamental engineering skills over any knowledge of a specific tech stack.Strong appetite for security focused technical work.Wide technical curiosity and willingness to contribute to many different parts of our stack: IAM, networking, governance, CI/CD, observability, APIs and web security.Previous experience working in small, fast-paced teams.Previous experience building cloud infrastructure within a regulated industry is appreciated.Previous experience participating in the implementation of ISO27001 or SOC2 compliance is appreciated. Why join usPlay a key role in building the fintech infrastructure that unlocks international payments for businesses in Africa.Work alongside a small team of senior engineers within a fast-paced, growing startup.Be exposed to an an usual breadth of technical responsibilities, with room to grow.Be given the room and support to build a state-of-the art security program in a regulated industry.Continuously experiment with LLMs to expand the boundaries of your impact.Find Jobs in France on Arbeitnow
