Strategic Account Director
Job Description & Overview
About Plentific
Plentific is redefining how property is managed in real time. Our cloud-based platform, supply chain and services help landlords run repairs, maintenance and compliance faster, with the data to make decisions instantly.
In the UK, we partner with housing associations and local authorities to tackle the sector's biggest challenges: repairs performance, disrepair, damp and mould, compliance and tenant satisfaction.
We're backed by world-class investors including Noa, Highland Europe, Brookfield, Mubadala, RXR Digital Ventures and Target Global. Headquartered in London with a global outlook, we're working towards managing over 2 million properties through our platform.
The Role
As Strategic Account Director, you'll own the full sales cycle across UK social housing, from sourcing your own pipeline to closing and growing multi-year partnerships with housing associations and local authorities.
You'll sell our SaaS platform alongside our transactional (TX) offerings, including Open Framework and Plentific Services. That means shaping blended deals that combine software, supply chain and delivery of works into one outcome for the client.
This is a hunter role with real ownership. You'll run your own discovery, demos and business cases, land new logos, expand existing accounts and own renewals. We'll back you with the tools, data and enablement to win.
You'll report into the Head of Sales. We're open to hybrid, London office-based or fully remote working.
What you'll do
Build your own pipeline
Self-generate the majority of your opportunities through outbound, sector networks, events and partners
Use our CRM, sales intelligence and AI tooling to research accounts, prioritise targets and run multi-channel outreach
Represent Plentific at sector conferences and exhibitions, and lead round-table discussions with housing leaders
Run the full sales cycle, end to end
Lead discovery and deliver tailored product demos yourself
Build ROI analyses and business cases with the toolkit we provide
Navigate public sector procurement: frameworks, direct awards and competitive tenders
Multi-thread across executive buying committees, including Directors of Property, Asset Management, Repairs, Finance and Procurement
Qualify rigorously, run mutual action plans and negotiate through to close
Sell SaaS and TX together
Structure blended deals combining our SaaS platform with Open Framework, Plentific Services, supply chain and delivery of works
Understand the commercial models behind works delivery and position them alongside recurring software revenue
Land, expand and renew
Win new logos across housing associations and local authorities
Grow existing accounts through upsell and cross-sell
Own commercial renewals, working in partnership with Customer Success
Forecast and operate with discipline
Keep the CRM accurate and current, and forecast your number with confidence
Work with Marketing, Solutions, Customer Success and Delivery to win and launch accounts
What you'll bring
We're open to two backgrounds: enterprise sellers from housing-sector SaaS companies, and business development leaders from contractors or FM providers serving social housing. What matters is that you know the sector and can win complex deals in it.
Essential
5+ years selling into UK social housing (housing associations and/or local authorities), at a housing-sector SaaS company or in business development at a repairs, maintenance, construction or FM contractor
A proven track record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals and consistently hitting or beating target
Strong working knowledge of public sector procurement, including frameworks, tenders and the Procurement Act 2023
Understanding of the pressures facing landlords today, such as Awaab's Law, the Consumer Standards, Tenant Satisfaction Measures and damp and mould
Confidence running your own discovery, demos and business cases, and generating your own pipeline
Comfort with modern sales tooling, such as CRM and sales intelligence platforms
Familiarity with MEDDPICC or a similar qualification methodology
Nice to have
Experience selling both software and services, or works and repairs contracts
An existing network among senior housing leaders
Bid strategy or tender-writing experience
Hands-on experience using AI tools to research accounts, prepare for meetings and personalise outreach
Why Plentific
You'll join a scale-up with ambitious growth plans and the backing to deliver them, in a role where your deals directly shape how the sector manages its homes.
